MFT Trainee

Hello and congratulations on starting your journey to a more fulfilled version of you! My name is Bianca and I am a therapist who is passionate about helping those who are experiencing feelings of unhappiness, stress, anxiety or depression, or just feel stuck and confused in their current life and circumstances. I understand that times are difficult, especially with all of the trials and changes happening daily, and it is even harder for those struggling with past traumas, strained relationships, or maybe having a hard time processing recent or past grief. If you are experiencing doubt about your purpose in life or feeling like something is holding you back from reaching your full potential you have come to the right place. I understand that each person is their own complex set of experiences, traumas, social locations, and world views, and I am able to respect these differences and “meet you where you are” by creating a safe, and non-judgmental space where you feel heard, validated and understood.

As a therapist, who is a part of the BIPOC community, I am honored to be able to serve members of this population and have a passion for working with people experiencing systemic racism, social injustices, and working with them to reduce the circumstantial impact and associated trauma. I am also a retired Navy veteran and can cater to the needs of those who are having a hard time navigating the changes and obstacles that our service members face, and life-changing realities that present themselves when veterans are re-adapting to the civilian ways of life, and the ways these adjustments can negatively impact a person's mental and physical health.

My theories of choice are emotionally focused therapy (EFT), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and spirituality, but I utilize a combination of modalities and interventions to adapt therapy to adequately meet the client’s holistic needs. I am currently perusing my master’s degree in Couples and Family Therapy from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University and hold a bachelor’s in Psychology from San Diego State University.

Change and relief are possible, let me know how I can help!
