STCS recognizes the need for community agencies to address the ongoing impact of racism, oppression, violence against minority groups. We believe that operating with integrity and sensitivity to the varying perspectives we hold as community members, requires us to lead from a space of continual review and evaluation of our practices, policies and procedures that guide our holistic approach to healing. Our board leaders and members represent a diversity of education, skills, and knowledge and bring their unique perspectives to each facet of our organization.
This committee serves to ensure that therapy programs (outpatient services, healing retreats, and recreational activities) are designed and implemented in ways that reflect the SCTS mission of diversity, equity and inclusion. Additionally, this committee is dedicated to ensuring that those working with STCS, in any capacity, are treated fairly and with respect and have pathways to express concerns. This committee also facilitates the onboarding processes and creates policies and procedures.
This committee oversees the STCS client scholarship programs for retreats and other clinical and recreational services. This committee also coordinates the Clinician Training Stipend Program and various Client Alumni Programs including: Aftercare, mentorship, and educational scholarships. The process of establishing client service fees is also managed by this committee in cooperation with the Clinical Services and Staff Relations Committee.
This committee serves to ensure that employees, contractors and volunteers receive proper onboarding training, as well as monthly clinical/non-clinical training to be equipped to serve our clients and community effectively. Our nonclinical training is provided to all staff members, contractors and volunteers to ensure our services are aligned with STCS diversity, equity and inclusion values. Community partners aligned with STCS mission and values are invited and welcomed to provide relevant clinical/non-clinical training.
The primary goals of this committee are to identify and implement ongoing DEI-informed collaboration, education, and partnership opportunities between STCS and individuals, families, social service/health.
This committee's primary functions are program development and outcome research. This committee works to design and implement protocols and interventions, aligned with STCS clinical values and DEI mission and vision, in order to demonstrate the efficacy of treatment occurring at STCS.
Feedback and Assessment Subcommittee
This committee identifies ways for STCS members to individually and collectively take action and get involved in making social changes in our community. This committee seeks out opportunities for STCS to actively engage in events, raise awareness, and support causes that align with STCS DEI mission and vision. This committee provides STCS members with resources that allow them to put social justice initiatives into action.
The primary goals of this committee are to identify and implement ongoing DEI-informed collaboration, education, and partnership opportunities between STCS and individuals, families, social service/healthcare providers and natural support networks in the community to improve quality and access to care.
